Nordic Business Unit Director

In cooperation with PharmaRelations, Smith & Nephew is recruiting a skilled Nordic Business Unit Director AWM, based in Denmark or in Sweden (preferably in Greater Copenhagen or in Gothenburg area). You will lead and develop your team of national sales managers and brand managers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland and ensure that all sales activities are in line with the Smith & Nephew strategy. As Business Unit Director you are a key individual to further strengthen the relationships with targeted key stakeholders in the Nordics. You report to the Nordic General Manger and will be part of the Nordic management team.

Responsibilities and tasks

* Adapt and implement the S&N AWM Business Unit Strategy to deliver long-term sustainable growth in line with National, Regional and Global business objectives

* Deliver P&L targets in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland

* Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and data analysis for business strategic and follow-up purposes

* Develop business wide and personal relationships with key long-term external Key Opinion Leaders, industry groups, wholesalers and customers to achieve S&Ns business goals in AWM Nordics

* Develop and drive operational plans to achieve sales profit (pricing and investment) and cash flow (inventory and debtors)

* Be knowledgeable of local market access practices, requirements and guidelines, including pricing and tenders

* Create an effective Business Unit team, and foster effective cross-functional working with enabling functions and other Business Unit leads for S&N to operate effectively and efficiently in the Nordic markets

* Input into wider S&N New Product Development and Marketing processes in an effective way, in line with agreed processes and expectations

* Develop local leadership, brand management and talent and support career paths to build strong S&N talent pool

* Lead Change Management and be a role model

Who are you?

* Bachelor or Master degree within healthcare, science or business

* Several years of proven experience from Life Science as business unit manager, commercial manager or sales manager, on Nordic level.

* Proven success of people development, both teams and individuals.

* Up to date knowledge of the Nordic health care markets and regulations including (regional) contract/tender structures.

* Proven track record in all aspects of planning and implementing a sales strategy.

* Professional level in Business English and preferably one of theNordic languages, both in oral and in written communication.

To be successful in this position you enjoy working with sales and people management. You have vast experience and competence as a sales coach, preferably on a Nordic level. You must have excellent communication skills but you are also a good listener. You are a person with a strong drive, who focuses on results and have a positive and solution oriented mindset to take on challenges.
