Analytical Chemists at Pharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca -Göteborg

AstraZeneca is currently making large investments to increase their research capability in Inhaled Pharmaceuticals, in Mölndal, Sweden. They are investing in new equipment, new technologies and more people. They seek people with knowledge in various skills relevant for inhaled drug delivery, such as formulation science, analytical chemistry, solid state properties, device development and biopharmaceutical sciences.

AstraZeneca Mölndal is one of AstraZeneca’s three core sites for drug research, with about 2.500 employees at site. At Product Development, Sweden, a sub-division of Pharmaceutical Development, they focus on the fields of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and on Respiratory, Inflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases. Within Product Development Inhalation they have an exciting pipeline, consisting of both new molecules and new devices. The unit currently comprises 80 people, dedicated to research and development for new inhaled drug products.

Description of assignment:

Be a part of technical cross functional project teams, working on new Inhaled formulations

Develop and utilize LC methods for quantification
Assess, record and report data. Draw authoritative conclusions and make recommendations

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

Chemistry, Pharmaceutics or other relevant education
HPLC and/or UPLC experience
Experience of inhaled drug delivery is a merit, but not a requirement
