Oman and Pakistan – two new countries for Bactiguard’s infection protection control

During the past weeks the medtech company Bactiguard has signed distributor agreements for Ecuador, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt and Libya. Last week two more countries could be added to that list, Oman and Pakistan. The company Allmed Group will represent Bactiguard in these countries.
CEO of Bactiguard, Christian Kinch, is very happy over the cooperation with Allmed Group who now has Bactiguards complete portfolio for infection control, including urinary, intravenous and respiratory catheters. “The success we have had lately with our infection control portfolio makes me very happy and we are hoping to be able to help as many hospitals as possible to reduce their number of HAI’s. Health care associated infections (HAI) are the fourth largest cause of death in the world and with the raising number of MRSA in the world, we have noticed an increased awareness for infection control like in Oman and Pakistan.”

“We have chosen to work with Bactiguard because of their unique solution for infection protection. Bactiguard’s products not only prevent infections, but also reduce the use of antibiotics and saves health care expenditures. We are confident that hospitals in these countries will use Bactiguard’s clinically proven solution in order to help save lives in both Pakistan and Oman” says Ejaz Mirza, CEO of Allmed Group.

Health care associated infections (HAI) are the fourth largest cause of death in developed countries. The Bactiguard® coating has been applied to urinary catheters in the U.S. since 1995 and over 125 million Bactiguard coated catheters have been used in clinical practice all over the world. The Bactiguard technology consists of an extremely thin noble metal coating that reduces bacterial adhesion and is biocompatible.
